Is there a way to configure Windows 10 to view the metadata of an avi file showing the date and time of when the video was shot? This leads me to believe that Windows XP allows you to view the date and time of when the video was shot and Windows 10 doesn't. When I look at the metadata it shows when the tape was transfered onto the computer and not when it was shot. I did an import and created the necessary scn file which shows the date and time information of the scenes. I then tried to load Pinnacle Studio 8 onto the Windows 10 machine, I couldn't believe it, it installed with compatibility settings and works fine. I tried to load Pinnacle Studio 9+ onto a windows 10 computer but it wouldn't have it, even using compatibility settings. If I repeat the same exercise with Pinnacle Studio 18 Ultimate using Windows 10 on a modern computer, the date and time of when the video was shot is not available, only when the file was created which is when it was transfered. When I hover over the clip with the mouse the date and time of when the video was shot is shown. When I import the avi's into Pinnacle Studio 9+ using XP the scenes are created and show up in the import album. I have some old miniDV tapes that were transfered onto my old computer using Pinnacle Studio 9+, Windows XP SP3 and a firewire connection.
